Bring Me Hope GAP
I was sitting outside a few days after Bring Me Hope (organization I work with….www.bringmehope.org) summer camp 2007 got over and I was thinking about the story in Ezekiel where God did not spare the city because there was “No one to stand in the Gap” (Ezekiel 22:30) I started thinking about how many gaps there are in the orphan world and how if God wanted to he could use me to fill the one I saw. That particular “gap” is the kids that come to summer camp. Some of them are older and need an advocate to help behind the scenes to give them a better life. It is much harder for older kids to get adopted here. I felt God pulling at my heart to say yes and stay in China to help make this happen. Some of Gap’s goals this year are to 1. Help Change kids situations and share Jesus with them by getting them into Christian Families. It would be great if this could mean adoption, but I am also working on getting them into Christian Foster Care Here. 2. To see where God takes us, in the sense with how willing orphanages are to work with us in standing in the Gap.
